The Earlier the Better

Well Last night I decided to grace the world with my presence. I knew that Grandma Donita was on her way, so I made the choice, to start letting Mommy know I wanted to see here as soon as I could. While daddy was stuck in traffic for a couple of hours, I made Mommy feel a little pain, so she would want me out. After Daddy and Grandma returned I kept up my little stomp on Mommy's bladder routine. After dinner and a short walk, Mommy and Daddy went to the hospital a few hours later, here I am. I know I am 3 weeks early, but I like the interaction with people out here a little more. So as I come out, here are my stats:
Weight:= 6lbs.
Height:= 18.5 in.
Time of birth:= 11:35 pm on June 28th 2007
I am looking forward to seeing and meeting all of you.

The Difficult Child!?

Hi everyone, sorry no pictures this time, but Mommy said that I had to update. Yesterday, Mommy hit her 37 week mark! That means she is now full term! She had her doctors appointment yesterday and doctor measured her belly and said that I am measuring right on target now, not too big. Mommy will still go in for her growth scan on July 2nd.....

The doctors have been saying that because big brother Eli was too big, they don't want Mommy to go past her due date, so they stripped her membranes which helps her cervix dilate and for me to prepare to come...... Well, it turns out that the doctor didn't need to push me! I am coming on my own! I say this because after the procedure, the doctor checked Mommy to see how dilated she was and the doctor said Mommy was already a good 3 1/2 centimeters!!! The doctor kept saying that hopefully there will be a new baby this week! Mommy was pretty upset though too because Grandma Donita isn't coming until July 8th and the Doctor doesn't think there's a chance that I will wait that long. So, after some talking, Grandma changed her flight and she will be here tomorrow! Grandma and Mommy say that it sounds like I am going to be the difficult child.... They haven't even met me yet and they think I will be more chanlenging than my big brother Eli!!! Not possible!

Mommy and Me

Here is Mommy carrying me at just over 36 weeks! Can you believe that?! Less than 4 weeks, and hopefully I will be out in the world meeting all of you! Mommy says she still feels good. Not much swelling, just heartburn and lower bachaches occasionally. Daddy and Mommy are getting so excited for me to be here, but Mommy says it finally just sunk in that she is pregnant with me. She can't believe that she and Daddy will be parents of 2!

Mommy went to the doctor yesterday, and she is now going every week until I am born. Guess what?! I am not breech anymore! Yep, the doc did a sonogram and said that I am head down and my heart rate is great. July 2nd is still the scheduled growth scan of me so, hopefully, the doctors can guess if I am getting too big or not. I am still measuring a little big, but not too bad anymore. Mommy thinks it may because I am in a different position.

A Brand New Room!

The paint job in my room is complete! Mommy worked on the butterflies while Daddy was in school. Then, when he got back, he and Mommy painted the rest of the room. The video is of my room. However, Daddy is working on painting a rocking chair to go in there and Daddy and Mommy still want to buy a changing table for me. Also, Grandma Donita is working on some homemade curtains that will have butterflies on them to match my walls! Another thing, is Mommy just got done painting wooden letters that spell my name and hanging them by pretty pink ribbons above my bed........But, sorry guys, they won't let you see those!

I have been in Mommy's tummy for 35 weeks already! Everyone is getting very excited for me to come out now. Mommy and Daddy say that hopefully it is just another 4 weeks. Mommy goes in for her next doctor visit to see how I am doing and to make sure that I am not breech anymore. Mommy really thinks that I finally turned!! Also, on July 2nd, Daddy and Mommy go to the hospital for a growth scan of me since the doctor thinks that I am big. They want to make sure that Mommy won't have any problems delivering me. So, they want to make sure that I do not get any bigger than my big brother Eli was when he was born.

6 More Weeks!

Well, Mommy is now 34 weeks pregnant and that means only 6 more weeks until I come! This weekend Daddy and Mommy bought paint to paint my bedroom, and Mommy painted these pretty butterflies on my wall! The rest of the room, other than this wall, will be lavendar and a couple more butterflies on the other side of my room that will be the cream color. Daddy and Mommy are really excited about how cute it looks so far.
I have now made it to the point where I am 5 pounds. My taste buds are mature, so I can taste the food that Mommy eats too! Doctors say that If I was born early, I would no longer be considered premature, but I would be pre-term. That is because my lungs are developed enough to be able to work on their own! However, Daddy and Mommy say that they are sure I won't come too early, thank goodness! They are still hoping for another 5 weeks or so. Mommy says I have to stay inside until Grandma Donita gets here!
