One Month Old...Already?!!

Can you believe that I will be 5 weeks old on Thursday?! I am really getting up there! And, I'm bald to top it off! Mommy got some videos of me because she thought that you all would like to "see me in action." However, the video she got is of my crying.... So, she is showing you a video of me sleeping too, even though I am still. Enjoy!

I am Soooo Loved!

Here is me with my family. The above picture is
me and my Grandpa Doug. He and my Aunt Traci flew out to meet me last Saturday. I think that I already have them wrapped around my little fingers.

The picture to the left is me and Aunt Traci.

The picture above is a picture taken a few days ago with Grandma Donita and Eli. Grandma says it will be very hard for her to have to go home on Saturday because she loves us so much and will miss us.



The picture to the right is a picture of me getting a bath. I hate my baths, as you can tell. Mommy hates it when I scream like that, but she likes afterwards because I will cuddle with her and she gets to smell my hair and she tells me how pretty I am.

Dinner Out!

A couple of days ago, we went out in town to eat dinner and I got to meet some more family for the first time. This is me with my cousin Zoie, Uncle Brian, Aunt Rachel and in the picture on the bottom you can see my other cousins, Savannah and Josiah. I was a very good girl, as usual and slept almost the whole time!

As promised, I wanted to let everyone know how my two week appointment went!

The doctor didn't say anything about my jaundice, so it is almost all gone now! They also measured my head, my length and my weight.

Weight- at birth was 5lbs 15.7 oz and is now 6lbs, 1.9 oz!!! I gained all my birth weight back! Yay for me!

Length- At birth was 18 1/2 inches long and that is what I still am

My head- at birth was 31.25 cm around and now it is 32.75 cm

The doctor said that I am in the 5% percentile for all of my stats. She said that is normal since I was 3 weeks early. This just means that 95% of babies my age (2 weeks) weigh more than me and are taller than me. That is to be expected since Mommy's due date isn't even until tomorrow!

2 Weeks Old!

Can you even believe that I am already 2 weeks old today!! Well, Mommy says, "She's not 2 weeks old until 11.35 tonight!" I think she wants me to stay little!

By the way, I am still very little! I go in for my 2 week appointment tomorrow to see if I am back up to my birth weight and to check my jaundice. Everyone is guessing that I am still under my birth weight of 5 lbs, 15.7 oz, but I might be getting close!

Pretty Room for a Pretty Girl

Grandma, Daddy and Mommy were trying to take some cute pictures of me the other night to send out in the birth announcements. This is one they got of me and big brother, Elijah. We're a cute pair, huh!?

Well, this is how my room turned out! Grandma Donita made my curtains and they are beautiful and fit perfectly into my butterfly room! I still don't sleep in my own room since I like to eat every few hours at night, but it will a good place to catch up on my beauty sleep when I do start sleeping in there!

Update on Me

Hi everybody, just thought that I would let you know how I am doing. I went back to the hospital yesterday to check my weight. I had been in on Monday (the day after I went home) and had lost 7.2% of my body weight already, and weighed 5 lbs., 8 oz. The doctors said that was a little too much and wanted to monitor me.

On Wednesday, the hospital said that I had gained a 1/2 oz. Mommy was hoping for more, but Grandma said it was good since I didn't eat much at all on Monday. I was having difficulty eating, but am doing a little better now. Also, they are watching my jaundice. I have gotten a little worse, but am still not bad for my age.

Anyhow, I have to go back to the hospital tomorrow again for another weigh in and serum test for my jaundice levels. Everyone says that I have had a rough time because I am so little and everyone wants to make sure that I am okay since I was a little early.

Other than that, things are going well. Today was my first outing! We went to lunch and then to the store that has lots of toys for my big brother. I slept through everything! Grandma Donita says that I'm her little angel and I'm soo sweet!

More of Me!

Well, everyone, I am finally home! I came home Sunday morning at about 9:30. I am really happy to be out of the hospital with no more IV's and people poking at me. I have been a good girl, except that I won't eat very well. I would rather sleep and Mommy thinks that I am so tired and don't want to put the effort into eating right now. I have lost a little weight and weighed 5 lbs 8 oz yesterday at my check-up. I have to go back into the hospital tomorrow for another weigh in and to check the little bit of jaundice that I have.

Here's me and my big brother, Eli! He gives me kisses all the time and I don't mind it, even though he isn't very gentle with me! I think he can't wait until I get big to play with him. We will be Daddy and Mommy's little trouble makers! He calls me, Baby, even though Daddy is trying really hard for him to say my name, Jayde. Jaydlie is just too hard to say for a little guy like him!

Here is me and Grandma Donita. I waited until she got here on Thursday to come out into the world, but she barely made it! Mommy said that I have taught her that she can't always plan everything out like she thought..... Even what month I would be born! I will do things on my own terms!

Here is me and my Grandpa Rodger. He and my Great Aunt Ola came out to see me after I came home from the hospital. I was glad to meet him so early, because he is going to be out of town for most of July.
