It's Christmas!

Merry Christmas! (Although my favorite holiday saying is, "Ho Ho Ho!", which I say quite frequently!) Today was such a fun day!

I was actually pretty good at unwrapping all of the Christmas gifts this year. However, there were so many to unwrap, that I got side-tracked in the end!

I got lots of goodies and presents That I played with today. Luckily, I did lay down for a 2 hour nap before dinner!

Here we are making cookies for Santa! He ate them all up!

Today is a busy day, so not many comments. However, I'll have more comments and pictures in a couple of days, playing with all my new toys!

It's Snowing!

Eli and I got all bundled up and went outside to play in the snow when I woke up from my nap!

(Pics taken at 3:oo pm. As of 6:35 right now, we have about 3 inches of snow and it is still snowing!) At first, I wasn't sure what to do in the snow! I just stood on the dry ground and watched what was happening.

Yay! Look at our train! I love it so much and watch it go round in cirlcles every time we push the button.

Daddy and Mommy really like this tree train because I can't touch it!

Mommy's Birthday!

Mommy had a birthday last week and we got to eat some cake! Daddy and Eli put 23 candles on Mommy's cake and it was bright!
We got to eat cake and open some presents and Mommy loved everything. We got her a cook book stand and cover so her cookbooks don't get dirty.

Aw, look at the dimples! Mommy took a bunch of smiley pictures of me again... Do ya think she could stop that? She just can't seem to get enough of this face! Anyway, these are the pictures that she got of me!
She says this is the picture that she will look at when I am being a bad girl, which happens quite frequently. She says this reminds her of the few times that I am not getting into something or making mischieve.

I have a "gummy" smile. I think I get that from Mommy. She tries to reassure me that it's because my teeth haven't grown into my face yet... Silly Mommy!

What I've Been Up To..

Here I am wearing a princess crown at my second cousin's birthday party. Everyone said that I was beautiful and I even struck a pose and put my hand up by hair and batted my eyelashes. I'm such a girly girl!

We decorated the house for Christmas and I got the help! One of my favorite things to do nowadays is take the ornaments OFF the tree when Mommy isn't looking!

This is the cool pinata that Daddy made recently. Isn't it cool?! I even got to pull a string and get candy!

It's Sleepy Time

I love night-night time. I usually get kinda cranky at about 7:30 because I want to go sleepy!
After story time, I get to lay down in my bed. Lucky for Daddy and Mommy, I haven't tried crawling out yet!

It's Halloween!

Well, we didn't get too many pictures. Mostly, it's because once we started trick or treating, it was pretty dark outside. Eli and I had lots of fun though! I was a little cranky after walking around outside, so I got to come home and help Mommy hand out candy to other kids! I'd say it was a pretty good Halloween!

My New Tricks

Last night we were carving the pumpkin and I just decided that there was NO WAY that I was sticking my hand in there! So, I had fun and watched Daddy and Eli take the seeds out and carve the smiley face.
Meanwhile, I tried standing up in my highchair and was talking and playing around.

Mommy got a cute video of me playing and showing off my new tricks! I can now wave bye-bye, say "hi" and "butt". I can also blow kisses and clap! Enjoy the video!



And, here is a family picture taken last week at the fall festival! We got pictures taken and got to eat popcorn and have lots of fun! Unfortunately, I got too sleepy to stick around for the hayride. Maybe next year though.

Halloween is Almost Here!

Halloween is almost here and I am a CHICKEN!! So many people thought that I was cute too! I waddled around and had a good time. I even got to snack on pretzels and drink some capri sun. By the way, did you know that I can drink out of a straw?!


This is Mommy and I, sitting at the craft table while I munch on some snacks. Eli did the crafts, but I was a very good girl sitting and watching.

I can't wait until Halloween when I get to walk with Eli and go trick or treating. I'll make sure we get lots of pictures!

Beginning to Talk?

Mommy says that she's never seen a more beautiful girl than me. It's not just because she's my Mommy either, but she thinks that I am the most irresistable little girl ever!! Here are some smiley pictures of me from the last few days...

Below is a video that Mommy took of me when we were eating dinner last night. She says that I will be talking very soon. Even though I am not saying real words yet, I know when to use my voice!

Ouchie!!

Mommy says that this is the nastiest looking head bump that she's ever seen! When Daddy was cutting Eli's hair, I slipped and fell and wacked my head on the chair. I only cried for a second, but a couple minutes later when Mommy looked over at me playing, she got scared! It was pretty nasty looking!

My 15 Month Old Check Up

Well, I am definitely a healthy girl! I went to the Doctors for my 15 month check up yesterday, and other than the FIVE shots I had to have, I came out pretty good! The Pediatrician thinks that I am pretty up to speed with the other kids my age. She wants me to work on waving bye bye and pointing at things with my index finger. She also said that I should go see a dentist! Apparently the American Dental Association recommends that kids start seeing a dentist right around the time they turn one year old...

So, they took my stats and here is how it came out: My weight was 21.4 pounds which is the 25th percentile. My height is 30" which is the 75th percentile!!! WOW! I grew 4 whole inches in 4 months! The doctor said that I am not so proportionate... I am tall and skinny.... Hmmm, where in the world do I get that from?? haha

Mommy's Work

A lot of you know that Mommy has gone back to school at the Art Institute and is working towards her Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture and Design. She just finished her favorite class yet, a drawing class! She thought some of you might be interested to see a couple of her projects from the class. She had about 2 drawings per week due along with other assignments.... Some of you have only seen the portraits that she has done, but this is a variety! Enjoy

The above drawing was a profile drawing done by photograph.

The picture above is a still life that Mommy drew. It is a soap dispenser, candle and canister. This was drawn from life.

The picture below was a study of a piece of furniture. The instructor says that as an interior designer, she has to understand how to draw furniture.

The picture to the right is a figure study, drawn from a picture. It was supposed to be a quick sketch, done in 15-20 minutes.

And, the picture below was Mommy's final project. It was another still life with objects that were not supposed to correlate to one another.

Hanging Out Outside!

This is us after we had hiked a mile and a half to get an oasis in the desert! We stopped and had dinner on these big rocks! I was so hungry and thirsty, even though I didn't do any hiking! Lucky me, I got to ride in the jogging stroller for a lot of the time. That is, until it got so rocky that we had to ditch the stroller part way and pick it up on our way back!
I just love playing outside, especially in an field! I liked to carry around the golf clubs and golf balls... Oh, and I liked to run away from Mommy and have her chase me!!
