A lot of you know that Mommy has gone back to school at the Art Institute and is working towards her Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture and Design. She just finished her favorite class yet, a drawing class! She thought some of you might be interested to see a couple of her projects from the class. She had about 2 drawings per week due along with other assignments.... Some of you have only seen the portraits that she has done, but this is a variety! Enjoy

The picture below was a study of a piece of furniture. The instructor says that as an interior designer, she has to understand how to draw furniture.

The picture to the right is a figure study, drawn from a picture. It was supposed to be a quick sketch, done in 15-20 minutes.
And, the picture below was Mommy's final project. It was another still life with objects that were not supposed to correlate to one another.

I am just in awe at the beauty of your work Megan. You have so much talent and are doing such a wonderful job in school. I know it isn't easy to take care of a family and pursue your own dreams at the same time. You are doing great with both! Love you, Kathy
Your drawings are really good Megan. You must get that talent from your Dad. Make sure you are keeping those, even after your class is over. You are very artistic. Drawing and the CD's that you put together of the kids are awesome.
Megan, I too am in awe of the beautiful work that you do. You are just so talented in so many things that I know you will do well and go far in your career if you should select to pursue that direction....but you are fantastic as a mommy also. I'm so proud of you and all that you are achieving.
